2024 - Camp Day Four
Today was another amazing day at camp!
Campers got to choose their adventure today. Some did water sports, some created a camp mural, some payed field games, some cooked new foods, and some explored in kayaks and all had a blast!
Today was our last day for waterfront time and the campers put it to good use!
Then it was time to clean up for appetizers and a wonderful dinner. CC Bear surprised the campers at dinner and danced with K-Staff. We enjoyed taking photos in front of our Camp Norden sign and all the campers looked so sharp.
After dinner came our favorite part of camp week: the talent show. Campers got to showcase whatever they wanted to share — some sang, some did tricks, some groups performed skits, and EVERYONE cheered and supported each other. These kids are so incredible, and to see them stand proudly in front of their peers is inspiring.
As the evening sun was setting, we headed to water front for balloon launch. An epic camp tradition that you should ask your camper about! We stayed on the beach for some great tunes and dancing. It literally couldn’t get any better.
Shortly after all were tucked into bed. The friendships campers form and strengthen are the best part of camp. We are excited to spend the morning with them tomorrow! I hope you love their stories as much as we do!
Our medical team, counselors, co-director Sam and I are truly grateful for the chance to provide this camp experience for your kiddos who deserve every second of it.
We will see you tomorrow at pick-up at Camp Norden Crosslake at 2pm or at CCRF headquarters in Bloomington at 5pm. You will check in with nurses to pick up any medications and learn about how your camper’s week with us went.
Good night!
