We can hardly believe the third day of camp has come to a close!

We met at the flagpole again this morning and woke our bodies up with repeat after me songs.

Then it was off to breakfast to fuel up for morning activities. We love mealtimes around here! Our meals are served family style and always come with riddles and drama skits and full tummies.

The weather was beautiful again today. Campers met more friendly horses, enjoyed water wars, writing songs with our music therapist, creating sand art masterpieces and so much more.

We had a fantastic lunch and then it was off to rest hour. Some slept and some relaxed under trees with books. More waterfront time filled our afternoon. Campers loved the couch tube, water volleyball and making friendship bracelets on the shore. 4 of our 5 cabin groups have won ‘Clean Cabin Awards’ already this week!

Tonight was Sports Night, and what goes best with any favorite sporting event? Tailgating! We gathered in the ball field on blankets and shared yummy food and fresh lemonade,.

We waited in anticipation for the local firefighters and their tanker trucks to arrive! The fire engine sprayed a massive arc of water across the entire ball field which created the perfect setting for kickball, a slip in slide and water balloon challenges.

After getting soaked, campers warmed up by the campfire and enjoyed s’mores. The repeat after me songs were so fun tonight! Our campers are laughing, stepping out of their comfort zones and sharing so many amazing moments with each other. We closed with our Camp Norden song, and everyone headed back to their cabins to get ready for bed. Talent show sign ups started today. We can’t wait to see what they have in store to share for us tomorrow night.

Everyone is doing great. We are so thankful for the opportunity to give these kids the best camp ever!
