2024 - Camp Day One

Today marked the first day of Camp Norden Crosslake and it’s off to a great start! Thirty campers checked in and are ready for adventures and fun. Our campers on the charter bus to camp had a fantastic trip! They worked on Sticker by Numbers, Played some epic rounds of Uno and enjoyed snacks and catching up with their fellow campers :)

Campers got settled into their cabins and met their cabin-mates, counselors and nurses. Then it was on to lunch and choosing their cabin names. The anticipation was high and the cheering from the dining room could be heard through out camp! The afternoon was spent completing swim tests and getting those boats out on the lake for some cruising. A few sprinkles fell from the sky but I don’t think our campers even noticed.

Tonight was Game Show Night! Campers had a blast trying their skill at many creative game stations and challenging K-Staff for the win. We closed the day with snacks and singing our Camp Norden song. As the campers prepped for bed, they had some reflection time and then they were serenaded by our amazing camp counselors. We even had a few who fell asleep before lights out at 9:30.

We are so excited for what’s in store tomorrow!

The staff are doing an amazing job with the Camp Norden campers.
